Food is Culture // Charoset and Green Bananas
In this episode of the Museum of Food and Drink’s web mini-series, “Food is Culture,” Evan offers Ann Rose a plate of Charoset, a symbolic Passover dish made with apples, honey, wine, and a surprising secret ingredient (horseradish). Next, Ann Rose introduces Evan to boiled green bananas with callaloo and saltfish, a savory and hearty repast from her home, Grenada. Neither dish is quite what they expect.
